The experiment that moved science towards philosophy
When we think of electron, proton and neutrons, we think it as tiny bit of particle and what happened when fundamental particle of an atom fired through two slits. Will it behaves like particles and create two straight line on the screen? or Will it behaves like waves to create an interference pattern behind the wall? If electron is a particle it will create two lines for sure. Now let us go back to this experiment, when they shoot electron with the help of a electron gun, they got amazed to see an interference patten on the screen, to make it clear they again fired, one electron at a time and after some time the same interference pattern appear on the screen, this shocked the scientists, how can it create an interference pattern when they fire one electron at a time? how can it create a interference pattern when there is no other electron there at the time when it is fired. Scientists tried to see what exactly is happening there and with what the electron is interfering to create an interference pattern, They put a measuring device on both slits to have a closer look of what exactly is happening that is making a single electron behave like wave, when they observed an electron passing one at a time through the slit, it behaved as a particle and created two lines on the screen ! This uncertain behavior of fundamental particles confused quantum physicians and they failed to give a scientific conclusion.
Possible Conclusion
Before this experiment scientists thought that this universe is material, with the objects moving with their own physical laws, but this experiment changed the view of scientist when they fail to make a conclusion about the nature of fundamental particles of atom which make this entire universe, they cant find a scientific answer why the electrons behaved like a wave and when measure it changed its behaviour into a particle. The only possible explanation can be a philosophical one.
This experiment put us under the category of creators ( the observers ) who creates the universe as we observe from infinite possibilities, The power behind our observation made the electrons electrons behave like particles. Our own observation have to do a lot in creating this world around us. Without our observation there wont be any universe.
Now we know our power in creation process of this physical universe, but what we are influencing in the creation of this physical universe. In this web I have discussed about how our brain hides the real stuffs by consciously projecting form the input it receive as the form of electrical signals from our sensory organs, if we take that into consideration and look at this experiment we can see the change that happened to the behaviour of electrons is due to the conscious projection of our brains. Observer began to act on this experiment when we put a measuring device near the slits, when it measured an electron passing one by one through the slits our brain registered it and processed a possible reality in this case it behaved as particle because of our pre programmed belief system, we are made to believe that when a particle passed through slits it will create two lines and when we were not observing if an electron passing through the slit it behaved as a wave.
Electrons are particles that we cant measure with our physical senses, may be that is why it behaved like waves before observing, Now think about the stuffs around us that we can observe, stones, water etc. If we are not observing them then? will there be any stuffs as we see while observing? I want you new age thinkers to think about it.
