Sleeping state is a physical mechanism which helps our body to take rest, more over it have its spiritual significance, but what we know about sleep is while sleeping we lose conscious and dreams come on the surface.

While we fall asleep our brain Switches itself into a rest mode, as a result it ignores five senses ( see, smell, touch, hear, taste ), that means we get cut off from our so called physical world while we sleep. Cutting off from the physical senses open up our spiritual sense, some people call this spiritual sense our sixth sense.

While we sleep we are more alert, I have noticed that when we sleep if some one stairs at us, we wake up to notice that person, it happened to me sometimes, acquaintances have also experienced the same.

Also if we want to wake up at a particular time we will wake up without the help of an alarm if we really want to wake up, the timing will be very accurate. I use to set alarm to wake up, while going to sleep I felt I don’t want to wake up others with the loud sound of my alarm, due to that wish I wake up seconds before the alarm starts ringing, only to switch off the alarm to stop others from hearing the sound.

I can share one more sleep alert experience. One night I was damn sleepy, and a movie was going on on television, but there was a strong desire in my heart to see a particular part of that movie. I fell asleep and woke up and walked towards the television and switched it on, do you guys believe, that particular scene was just about to start in a second !

My experiences are a good proof that there is a spiritual side to our sleep. Also there is a wall which separates our sleep state and so called awaken state, that is why we forget everything we experience while we wake up. I have also experienced out of body experience while sleeping which I will explain in another article. My sleep research is an ongoing process and I will keep you guys updated.
